Assynt in the far North West Highlands of Scotland. The slopes of Suilven on the left with the mountains Cul Mor and Cul Beag shrouded in early morning cloud and mist, with Loch Mheathadaidh (Veyatie) hidden beneath. The mountains of Assynt and Torridon are some of the oldest in the world, being about 1.2 billion years old. When the morning mists flow around this surreal landscape, encasing the mountains as islands in the mist, it is easy to believe you are watching a landscape formed at the dawn of time.
