When hitch hiking, don't forget to take along your woman! i've been getting into learning the nitty gritty features of Photoshop recently and thought I'd play around using a couple of images. Here's how I made this image: Using 4 stock photographs; the woman, the car, the birds and the background I dumped them all into Photoshop as layers. I used the quick selection tool to cut out the woman from her original forest background then refined the edge of the cut. Next I blended the the birds with the sky by using the 'darker color' blending mode + transformed the size. If you're still with me, the sun flare was added using the Filter -> Render -> Lens Flare control. This was dropped onto a plain black background then the 'screen' blending mode was applied so the flare could be moved around blending in seamlessly with the background. After all this I cut the car out and dumped it some distance away to give this picture some perspective. Local brush adjustments were made at 10% to create a slight shadow at the base of the car. The biggest challenge I found was to create perspective. Being the left-brain dominant person that I am, I find it naturally difficult to be creative. Practice makes perfect and I'll be practicing this stuff more. Hope this image inspires you to create something awesome today!
